‘After Life’ Season 2 Is Coming

After Life is coming back to Netflix for season 2 in April 2020. If you enjoyed season 1 and like to know about the series, you’ve got to the right place.

We watched the first season of After Life on Netflix back in March 2019. The situation comedy presents the emotional crisis of an ordinary man but the way it tells the story is unique. Maybe that’s why it has been one of Netflix’s best new debut shows of 2019.

Nominated for multiple Emmy awards, After Life was a surprise in the competition. GoldDerby placed Ricky Gervais as one of the favorites to top the best actor category on their website.

Since the release of After Life, Ricky Gervais has signed an exclusive agreement with Netflix that gives Netflix the right to have the first look at any new projects. Ricky is also working on another two projects for Netflix.

When can we watch season 2 of After Life on Netflix?
After several announcements by various social media accounts from Netflix, finally, it’s confirmed that season 2 of After Life is coming on April 24th, 2020.

It is a tradition with every new Netflix Original to start streaming from Midnight Pacific Standard Time. So if you live in Europe, you can watch the latest season in the morning, and if you are in Asia or Australia you’ll have it in the late afternoon or evening.

Ricky Gervais has expressed repeatedly how the reaction for the show touched him. He said: “I have never had a reaction like this before. It’s been insane. And heartwarming. But now I have to make sure the second season is even better so I’ll probably have to work much harder than usual. Annoying really.”

Almost all of last season’s castings have been confirmed to be playing for season 2 of After Life. So Tom Basden is returning as Matt, Diane Morgan as Kath, Tony Way as Lenny, Mandeep Dhillon as Sandy, David Bradley, Ashley Jensen, and even Paul Kaye. As Gervais referring to them as “added surprises”, there have been a few new faces to the cast.

Tony pulled himself out of the sadness and despair and got a positive look at his life. It was a good ending and enough for most viewers. But for those who like to dig deeper, the question was what Tony will do with his new-found life. The answer defines the direction of season 2.
